Located just a few minutes up coveted Prince Creek, the home is only a five minute drive/ride to quaint downtown Carbondale (1.5 miles away), amazing mountain biking (Prince Creek trails), and world class fly fishing on the Crystal, Roaring Fork, Fryingpan and Colorado Rivers--all only minutes away. Skiing in both Aspen and Snowmass is only a 40 minute drive or stay local with amazing nordic skiing/ski touring and the famous Hot Springs in Glenwood Springs is only a 15 minute drive.
The one acre property is covered in pinyon and juniper trees and is surrounded by open space. Enjoy starry nights on any of the decks or patios, a bonfire in the SOLO stove, or just relaxing in one of the hammocks or hanging chairs while cherishing incredible mountain views.
The house was built like a European chalet in the 1960's by a 10th Mtn Division veteran and just went through a complete renovation. The master bedroom offers a brand new en-suite bathroom and it's own balcony overlooking the Elk Mountains. The guest bedroom offers a queen bed and the lower bedroom is equipped with a bunk bed (full and twin) just off of a TV/kids gaming nook. All three bathrooms were completely renovated with in-floor radiant heat and beautiful tile work. There is also a pull-out queen-sleeper in the living room and an office space off of the dining room that is perfect for Zoom meetings or a bit of privacy. The house also has Air Conditioning, which can be a must in the hot summer months.
While the property is incredible, its location in the valley is unparalleled. Rarely can you find such a remote feel surrounded by open space and incredible views only a short bike ride to town!
