Stay in downtown Glenwood Springs just steps from Glenwood's best restaurants, nearly every activity is within easy walking distance. This 1500 sq ft, 2 bedroom unit built in the late 1800's is located upstairs in what was once the Palace Hotel. It has been completely renovated with some of the old things still in tact. Look at the doors; they are the original ones from the 1890's with the room numbers still on them. Doc Holiday is rumored to have stayed here. If you are coming from the Front Range consider taking Amtrak as the train station is only 2 blocks from the Watersweeper Loft. No hassles with Glenwood Canyon.
Going up the stairs you will find yourself on a great, large deck with a stone top table ,firepit and BBQ grill. Go thru the door into the enclosed sun porch and sitting area. Enter the main door and you are in the old hotel hallway. On the left is western bedroom with a queen bed. On the right is the master bedroom with a king bed occupying what was once two hotel rooms. Next is the bath and laundry. There is a Soaking tub and vanity in one room and a shower and vanity in another room. In the front you will find a complete kitchen with everything you could need and the dining room-living room area to complete the wonderful Loft with a great blend of old and new.
